Hi, I’m Grace!
At the age of six, I decided I would be a nurse, because I wanted to help people, and I was fascinated by anything medically related. After nearly 10 years as a Registered Nurse, I came to know myself not only as a helper, but as an educator and facilitator. I wanted to know more, do more, and help more, so I completed my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and board certification.
As a NP student, I had the opportunity to work with a primary care physician who offered functional medicine visits one day a week. There, I saw true integrative care at work. I met patients who had followed conventional treatments without improvement, then watched them become more engaged in their care, better understand what was happening in their bodies, and begin making meaningful progress. I saw breakthroughs.
Throughout my career I’ve seen the very ugly and very beautiful sides of healthcare. It is by God’s grace that I function, serve others, and continue learning. Through His grace, I also understood how closely our physical, emotional, and spiritual lives are connected. That understanding has shaped the way I approach health—and ultimately, the way I want Functional Grace to serve others.
My role is to listen, notice patterns, ask thoughtful questions, and offer possible paths forward based on both education and real-world experience. The decision always belongs to the individual—and there is often more than one right answer.
Whether the next step involves a nutrient, a lifestyle change, a medication to discuss with your provider, red light, prayer, or simply a different question to ask, my hope is to help you find a place to start—and begin feeling and functioning better.
Let’s do this thing.
